The winery
and its vineyards
The Spiess family proudly cultivates 32 ha of south-facing Bechtheimer vineyards in Rheinhessen’s warm southern basin. Green, lush-rolling hills and fertile loess-lehm soil over a bedrock of limestone collects warmth, leading to a “kinder, gentler” wine. The estate is proud to cultivate sites such as Hasensprung, Geyersberg, Rosengarten, Stein und Heiligkreuz, where the Riesling and Pinot varieties can mature into lush, elegant, and long-lived wines.
Respect is our guiding philosophy: respect for nature, the grapes and the family. In essence, we promote sustainability in the vineyard by interfering as little as possible in the natural process.
